About MCU Atlas
An independent directory of microcontroller and SBC projects, focused on ESP32.
MCU Atlas is a curated, searchable directory of real things people build with microcontrollers and single-board computers: e-ink dashboards, touchscreen controllers, Home Assistant sensors, fidget toys, and more.
We cover the ESP32 family, Raspberry Pi, Raspberry Pi Pico (RP2040/RP2350), Arduino, STM32, nRF52 and others, but we're heavily optimized for ESP32 (~63% of our catalog).
Each entry links back to the original source (a GitHub repo, X post, Hackaday article, or blog post) and credits its creator. We write our own summaries and never copy their work.
- Discovery: A deep, filterable taxonomy that no single source offers—filter by board, chip variant, category, display type, sensor, framework, difficulty, and cost
- Organization: Board hubs, category pages, and cross-linked projects help you explore what's possible
- Parts lists: Structured BOMs with verified buy links from multiple retailers, ranked fairly (not by commission)
- Attribution: Original creators always get credit and a link back to their work
What we include
- Real projects that someone actually built
- Public source code, documentation, or write-ups
- Proper attribution to the original creator
What we exclude
- Purely promotional content with no build
- Projects that violate their original license
- Unsafe or malicious projects (see our moderation policy)
Removal requests
If you created a project we've listed and want it removed, email [email protected]. We'll remove it within 24 hours, no questions asked.
MCU Atlas uses AI to help with:
- Classification: Categorizing projects by board family, category, and difficulty
- Summaries: Writing original summaries of projects (never copying the source)
- Ideas: Generating project ideas (always labeled as AI-generated)
- Parts extraction: Identifying components from project documentation
All AI-generated content is reviewed before publication. AI-generated ideas are clearly labeled as such and are not presented as built projects.
We do not use collected project data to train AI models, and we do not resell the data.
