About This Project

Simple VESC Display turns the low-cost ESP32-2432S028R, the board known as the Cheap Yellow Display, into a dashboard for a VESC motor controller. It reads the controller over high-speed UART and shows real-time speed, RPM and power, with calculations modeled on VESC Tool. Trip and total distance are tracked and saved to EEPROM, the board's light sensor drives automatic brightness, and it warns about overheating and low battery. Custom PNG backgrounds and a startup logo are supported. It's a modified version of Gh0513d's SVD project, built in the Arduino IDE with TFT_eSPI and the ComEVesc library; motor and wheel parameters are set in the sketch.
